Developmental Trauma in TCKs: Presentation of Initial Findings

In this free presentation we share some of the initial findings, our hopes for this research, and give you access to use this data in your work with TCKs.

In 2021, TCK Training conducted a survey investigating ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Scores and experiences of developmental trauma among Adult Third Culture Kids. We are currently analyzing the data from 1,900 responses to this survey, including looking for trends in various demographics - such as age, reason for living abroad, amount of time spent abroad, and core educational experience.
Our hope for this research is that it brings awareness to the traumas TCKs experience and encourages the TCK Care community to increase or adjust their care accordingly.
