Adult TCKs & Parenting

Discover the transformative power of understanding your upbringing and how it influences your parenting practices. This workshop examines how the unique experiences of growing up abroad persists into adulthood and impacts parenting.

We'll explore key factors common to the TCK life, such as emotional health, identity formation, the need for change, subconscious expectations, and the experience of grief and loss. By reflecting on how these elements shaped our own development, we can bring intentionality into our parenting and create a healthy, nurturing family life for our children.

This workshop will help ATKCs identify which behaviors and patterns served them well in the past, determine what they want to retain, and decide what to let go of. We'll cover important considerations for those raising children with a fellow ATCK or a monocultural partner. We’ll also cover practical steps to creating a family environment where our kids feel seen, safe, and valued. For parents continuing a mobile lifestyle with their children, we'll provide proven strategies to mitigate the challenges of a transient life.

Join me to intentionally shape your parenting practices, and build a hopeful future for your family.
