Social Emotional Learning for TCKs

Contextualized resources for educators working in international schools.
Many educators have recognized the value of Social Emotional Learning programs to help set their students up for long term success. Yet international schools can struggle to find something that ticks all the boxes - in particular, a curricula to meet the specific needs of cross-cultural students. TCK Training's SEL for TCKs curricula was created with international schools in mind.

The plan is based on something we came up with for a specific school. This has the entire school do the same topic together. This means all teachers are doing the same topic, all siblings are doing the same topic, etc. Then the topics cycle through year upon year, until over time each student will do each topic three times at three different grade levels (in three different age bands).

Whatever they do in kindergarten will be repeated in Grade 3, to ensure they have a chance to really understand the topic. Several lessons have options for a more in-depth activity for older elementary kids that will make it less repetitive (even though it's likely kids won't concretely remember what they did in Kindergarten).
